FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does Agenda specialise in certain industries or types of profession?
Yes, we recruit for a range of office based roles including office support, finance, international trade, sales and marketing and Japanese speaking roles. You can find out everything you need to know on Agenda's Specialty Sectors page.
Can Agenda help with my employee salary structure?
If you need advice about the latest market salary ranges in any of Agenda's specialty areas, our consultants can give you a good idea of what the salary should be for the role you're recruiting for. Of course it always depends on exactly what the job involves and the level of experience and skills your new employee needs to have to make it their own.
I've just done my own recruiting in the past, how would using an agency like Agenda benefit me?
The recruitment process can be a long, time consuming process. Every minute you spend trawling through resumes, reading cover letters and sorting the good from the not so good, is time you could be spending working on your business. And of course when you use a specialist recruitment consultant like Agenda, we have the insiders view and we're able to cast the net wider because we have far greater access to networks of quality jobseekers.
Think of it this way. When you invest in Agenda Personnel's services there's a very good chance that we'll find you a higher calibre of employee than you'd be able to find yourself, faster than you'd be able to find them. That means the rest of your staff can get on with their own jobs without having to pick up the slack if you're a person down. That's a financial win and a win for employee relations.
Does Agenda ever need to advertise when they're looking for job seekers?
Even though our database is full of high quality job seekers, there's always room for more. Sometimes we advertise to make sure we attract the right person for you. But often we'll place ads to make sure our databases are up to date and stocked with fresh talent. We also promote new jobs on our facebook, twitter and Linked In pages and this very website you're reading right now.
Does Agenda charge me for the advertisements they place on my behalf?
When the best way to find your new employee is to advertise, the first stop is always online. You'll receive up to $300 worth of online ads at no charge! If the role we're recruiting for requires more than $300 worth of online advertising, or any display advertising, yes you will be charged for this.
Does Agenda look after the whole recruitment process? And what exactly does that mean?
In a nutshell we'll scour our databases, search our social networks and advertise until we've found a shortlist that matches your needs. We'll then narrow that list down, interview job seekers and do all the necessary background checks before presenting you with the person who's best suited to your needs. That's a very basic overview but you can read all about the process in detail on the Agenda's Services page.
I know Agenda is in Melbourne, but it's a big place. Do you work with clients in all suburbs, interstate and internationally?
The Agenda office is in South Yarra, but our clients are located all over Melbourne. We also take care of recruitment for clients based in New South Wales and Western Australia.
Agenda found me the perfect employee but they're only on a temporary contract. How do I make them a permanent member of my team?
You've got to admit, this is a pretty good problem to have! And it can certainly be arranged. If you decide to offer one of Agenda's temporary employees a permanent position either while they're under contract to you or during a 12 month period after they've completed their assignment with you, there is a placement fee involved. But I think you'll agree, it's definitely worth it.
How much will it cost me to use Agenda's recruitment services?
Your financial investment all depends on the type of role, the skills and experience the employee must have and the degree of exclusivity of the role.
If you're recruiting for a permanent role the payment is a one off fee calculated as a percentage of your new employees annual salary. If you're recruiting for a contract or temporary role, Agenda is responsible for all the residual costs that are associated with employment like payroll tax and insurance - these costs are billed back to you, the client.
Would you ever recruit employees from another one of your clients?
Absolutely not. Poaching or headhunting staff from other clients goes against Agenda's ethical beliefs. After all, recruitment is all about building relationships based on trust, so it's imperative we do the right thing by each other.
